Connecting You with Support and Empowerment

Counselling

We offer safe, supportive, low-cost individual sessions with a trained therapist.  Our resident counsellor, Bridget Farmiloe is available to see clients at the Centre. Six free sessions are offered to women with dependent children.  Subsidised counselling also available for women who don't meet this criteria. Appointments are necessary.

 

Drop-In Services

Come as you are to our warm and welcoming environment, where we offer information, education, and support. Whether you're seeking guidance or simply a listening ear, our doors are open to you

Information & Referrals

Access a wealth of resources, providing up-to-date information on community services, health issues, legal matters, budgeting, and more. If you require further assistance, we're here to connect you with the relevant agency or service.
 

Legal Clinic

We run a free legal clinic every third Friday between 9.30am and 10.30am.  The clinic is held either at the centre or at Homebuilders and is staffed by local lawyers. To book or for further details please contact the centre.

 

Massage

Take time out to relax and allow yourself some nurturing.  Experienced practitioner Heidi Downey offers holistic pulsing by appointment on Mondays at the Centre.  This is a gentle non-intrusive bodywork that activates your body's natural healing mechanism.  $65 per hour.  Bookings essential.

Noticeboards

Stay informed about community events, educational opportunities, health updates, and more through our noticeboards inhouse and through our social media platforms. It's your go-to place for staying connected and involved in our vibrant community.

 

Pregnancy Tests & Condoms

Free pregnancy test kits and condoms are available on request.

 

Support & Advocacy

We advocate on behalf of women with government and non-government agencies. We affirm women and support them in making choices in their lives.

It's an empowering journey filled with growth, friendship, and unwavering support.

WOW Move Up (Women of Worth)

Each week, immerse yourself in a dynamic group environment tailored to empower you in seven pivotal areas of life. Intro to Art Therapy

Immerse yourself in a transformative 5-week journey with our Intro to Art Therapy course.. Throughout this comprehensive program, you'll delve into the principles and benefits of art therapy, exploring various art materials and techniques while expressing yourself in a supportive environment. Each week offers a unique focus, from creative exploration and self-reflection to healing through creativity. Led by Heidi an experienced instructor, you'll learn to harness the therapeutic power of art to reduce stress, promote well-being, and embark on a journey of self-discovery.

Our SuperGrans/SuperSkills peer support groups are here to empower you on your journey of personal growth and skill-building. Every 2nd Wednesday, immerse yourself in our Cook and Chat mornings, where we come together to share recipes, stories, and laughter while preparing and enjoying nutritious and delicious meals. It's more than just cooking—it's about building connections and nurturing friendships.

Crafty Conversations

Unleash your creativity and join us every Friday for Crafty Conversations. Whether you're a seasoned crafter or just starting out, this is your opportunity to connect with others, chat, and engage in fun crafting activities. Plus, it's child-friendly, so feel free to bring the little ones along!
