Christmas Appeal Time

For many people Christmas can be a stressful and challenging time as they try to pay for presents, treats and holiday activities. At the Women's Centre we meet many women who struggle at Christmas time despite trying to put aside money throughout the year and doing their best to celebrate in low cost ways. So that we can add a little bit of brightness to as many people's lives as possible this year we are collecting Christmas goods to distribute to local families. Often the hardest presents to find are for older boys from about 9 years old and up so something for this group is really appreciated. In our parcels we also try to include gifts for Mums who may be giving up a lot to make sure their children get to celebrate Christmas. Please support our appeal and donate a present. Look for the trees at Local Matters, ANZ, Harcourts and Westpac or drop them into the Womens Centre between 9.30 and 2.30 on weekdays.
