We offer information, education and support in a safe environment which is comfortable, warm and welcoming.
 

We offer a variety of resources, including pamphlets, booklets & fliers which give up-to-date information on community groups & services, health issues, legal issues such as protection orders or custody, employment, WINZ & IRD. We can also refer you to a lawyer or counsellor.
 

Our noticeboards are the place to find information about what is happening in our community; events coming up; educational opportunities; current health information and items of general interest.
 

We offer a variety of affordable courses throughout the year with a new programme offered each school term. Courses are held in various locations in the Rodney district, including Warkworth, Whangateau, Orewa, and in Mangawhai. See our Course page for details.
 

If there are several mothers on a course who require care for their children the Women’s Centre may be able to provide free childcare. Please ask our staff.
 

Extensive library of books, tapes and videos on a variety of topics of interest to women. Membership is free.
 

We offer safe, supportive, low-cost individual sessions with a trained therapist.
Our resident counsellor, Jennifer Tunnicliffe, is available to see clients at the Centre. Appointments are necessary. To learn more go to our main counselling page.
 

Free legal & financial advice, and help with taxation & business problems.
 

Take time out to relax and allow yourself some nurturing. Massage $45/hour. Reiki $45/hour, sessions usually take 60 – 90 mins.
 

We advocate on behalf of women with government and non-government agencies. We affirm women and support them in making choices in their lives.
 

Computer & Internet available for up to one hour, bookings preferable. Cost: $2.50 per hour
 

Free pregnancy test kits and condoms are available on request.
